Austral provided equipment and training to MMG staff at Las Bambas, Peru to determine the volume of their tailings dam.
Austral also provided similar expertise in Golden Grove, Western Australia, surveying a decant pond and is currently completing monthly surveys at MMG's Rosebery site in Tasmania.

Weir pool and river bed mapping

Surveying weir pools and river beds gives waterway managers valuable information as to the performance of structures such as fish hotels and large woody debris reintroduction, or to model the hydrology of the waterway.
